Free printable hexagon graph paper for EPP and hexagon quilts. ½ to 2 inch hexagons at actual size, pointy or flat top; download PDF, PNG or SVG.
Print at 100% / Actual size, not “Fit to page”. Then measure the check ruler at the bottom of the sheet: if it is exactly 1 inch and 2 cm, your cells are true to size.
Plan hexagon quilts, rosettes and mosaics at the real size of your papers. The info line under the preview shows the size across the flats and from point to point for the hexagon you picked.
Working with diamonds, triangles or tumbling blocks? Use isometric graph paper. For backing and binding, see the quilt calculator.
English paper piecing hexagons are named by the length of one side. A 1 inch hexagon has 1 inch sides, measures about 1.73 inches across the flat sides and 2 inches from point to point.
Yes. Print at actual size on card stock or heavy paper and cut along the lines. Add your seam allowance (usually 3/8 inch) when you cut the fabric, not the paper.
Each flower is a ring of six hexagons around a centre hexagon. Colour rosettes on the hexagon graph paper to try fabric placements before you start basting.
Small hexagons (1/2 to 3/4 inch) suit detailed, portable projects. 1 to 1 1/2 inch hexagons are a popular all-round size; 2 inch hexagons cover a quilt quickly.
